Tailings ponds - Caribbean Mine

High resolution imagery can be used in the long term monitoring of tailing and other waste sites. Temporal changes can be documented through the use of regular imagery collections.

Both images are true colour images of tailing ponds at a Caribbean Mine.  Variations in mineral concentrations, moisture, flow patterns can be seen and mapped from the images.  In some areas standing water can be seen.
