IKONOS 4 meter multispectral imagery can be used map and measure clear cuts, monitor forest conditions and conduct general forest species differentiation.

This image is a 2 times enhancement of the part of the top image. Remnant tree stands can be seen in the clear cut areas. Logging roads are easily mapped using false color infrared imagery, due to the contrast between vegetated and non vegetated areas.
