IKONOS Agricultural Applications

This image shows the application of IKONOS 1 meter panchromatic images for both for planning and monitoring of tree crops.
This is a false colour infrared image was created by combining the red, green and infrared bands of the 4 meter multispectral sensor. Chlorophyll content and vegetation health can be monitored using this imagery.
This is a true colour infrared image was created by combining the red, green and blue bands of the 4 meter multispectral sensor. Dry areas in the fields can easily been, perhaps indicating irrigation problems.
Field size, crop densities and crop yield estimates can be calculated with the aid of IKONOS images. Crop loss or damage due to hail, heavy rain or wind could be determined using these high detail images.
False color infrared image showing variations in crop health. Subscriptions can be purchased to monitor crops on a regular basis. Color infrared can provide early detection of crop damage related to disease, insects or irrigation problems
